Blerim Reka said on Tuesday he had collected the necessary signatures to be an official presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections. According to his Election HQ, he collected over 11,000 signatures in less than 15 hours. As the HQ added in the press-release, it thanks BESA and Alliance for Albanians for their contribution in the process to collect signatures. “We thank all citizens for their support: in your commitment, we find our courage,” it was underlined. Also on Tuesday, VMRO-DPMNE criticised Stevo Pendarovski, because, according to the opposition party, while he was part of the opposition, he was against a consultative referendum on the name. The candidate supported by the SDSM-led coalition will most likely officially enter the race with support from at least 30 MPs.
