Rama: North Macedonia in EU before Albania may destabilise West Balkan

In an interview for the European TV network Euronews, Albanian PM Edi Rama warns that the Balkans may be destabilised if Macedonia becomes an EU member-state before Albania. “It would be rather bad for this entire region if North Macedonia starts the membership negotiations with the EU before Albania. Indeed, North Macedonia has achieved a lot and deserves to start the negotiations, but we should ask ourselves do we really need a conflict in West Balkans in order to estimate what we are doing,” Rama says.
