Reactions in Country to Bulgaria’s Blockade

“We need an economically prosperous Balkans of the 21st century, integrated into the EU. Today, I will also add a Balkans that lives in the present and builds a prosperous future,” PM Zoran Zaev said at Wednesday’s opening of the Skopje Economic Forum. As he added, the past is a lesson that divisions and discord don’t lead anywhere. According to the PM, Greece’s support is also present when it comes to Skopje’s EU path. Zaev stated that North Macedonia had met all conditions. According to Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, there will be no giving up. His view is that there is still energy in the process. The Deputy PM for European Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov said the Bulgarian blockade was a problem of the EU, too. On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE urged resignations by Government members in North Macedonia over the latest developments concerning the EU path.
