Reactions to Fire of Car Linked with First Deputy PM Grubi Continue

Both the ruling structure and the opposition have called for a solution to the case concerning the fire of the Audi linked with First Deputy PM Artan Grubi.

Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi asked for the Prosecutor’s Office and State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) to look into the case. He doesn’t know whether Grubi is the owner of the vehicle.

“I am part of neither the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office nor the SCPC,” he said, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski said it was about a criminal confrontation. In his view, the whole case needs to be investigated, those responsible need to be held to account, and the public needs to know whether there is concealment of assets.

In an interview with Kanal 5 TV later that day, Grubi himself said he had indications it was about a political act.
