Reactions to Pendarovski’s Meeting with OMO Ilinden – PIRIN Continue

President Stevo Pendarovski’s meeting with representatives of associations of ethnic Macedonians in Bulgaria has continued to spark reactions in Sofia. In response to Bulgarian President Rumen Radev’s description of Kiril Petkov’s visit to Skopje as rash, Bulgaria’s PM said the visit had been in fact belated. However, he added that foreign policy was made in the Government. Democratic Bulgaria’s Hristo Ivanov was the only one who publicly supported Petkov. “We should support PM Petkov’s efforts to give encouragement in a positive spirit. From this standpoint, it seems to me that it’s unnecessary to criticise the PM in this manner,” he noted. However, Ivanov described as founded the actions of Korneliya Ninova, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Industry, who’s also the Minister of Economy and Industry, who decided against going to Skopje for the working group meeting due to Pendarovski’s meeting with OMO Ilinden – PIRIN representatives, Alsat reported.
