SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE trade Accusations over Presidential race

Ex-ambassador Gjorgi Filipov is the only one that has applied within the frameworks of SDSM’s competition for potential presidential candidates even though the deadline expires today.  SDSM spokesperson Kostadin Kostadinov explains that “this is a process of self-nomination”. As he adds, municipal organisations, too, have an opportunity to nominate potential candidates by 3 March, when the Congress will be held. Regarding VMRO-DPMNE’s presidential candidate, Gordana SIljanovska Davkova, Kostadinov accused her of trying to abuse the Laskarci bus crash. VMRO-DPMNE criticised SDSM’s activities in relation to the presidential race. “Instead of prominent names such as Siljanovska Davkova, SDSM’s candidate will be chosen by DUI’s Artan Grubi,” the opposition party pointed out.
