SDSM has asked VMRO-DPMNE to withdraw the Declaration on Goce Delcev. According to the ruling party, it is one of VMRO-DPMNE’s political and populist games that harm the revolutionary’s life and work. SDSM MP Jovan Mitreski said on Monday his party wouldn’t be part of the “daily political theatrics” that could harm the integration processes. “They have missed the topic for the hundredth time. They defend something that’s not been attacked, thus showing their own insecurity and amateurism,” he stated, adding that VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski’s only interest was building a political career by keeping the dispute alive. On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE’s stand remains unchanged, that is, it once again called for support from all parties. “Only through unity, dignified respect, celebration, and marking of the achievements of our ancestors from the past can we additionally strengthen the democratic foundations of the country and of society,” VMRO-DPMNE MP Ivanka Vasilevska noted.
