Security Council Meeting: Security Situation Stable, Pendarovski Says

The security situation in the country is stable, while there aren’t for now indications that would indicate that there could be endangerment of North Macedonia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. That was the message sent by President Stevo Pendarovski after Tuesday’s session of the Security Council. Regarding the developments in relation to Ukraine, the President’s stand is that one shouldn’t believe the propaganda that NATO, as an alliance, would take activities on the territory of Ukraine if Russia would attack, saying that it will not happen. North Macedonia has made all necessary preparations for the potential scenarios, depending on how the situation in the region will unfold, he added. The President welcomed the diplomatic efforts at different levels being taken by the main factors in the international community that give dialogue and negotiations, not arms and military rhetoric, a chance.
