Sekerinska Attends NATO 2030 Conference

“NATO membership is the crown of our 30 years of independence,” Defence Minister Radmila Sekerinska said at a conference in Ohrid dedicated to the NATO2030 agenda and the 30^th anniversary of the country’s independence. “We were given little chance of success, the main assessment was that the numerous conflicts throughout Yugoslavia would not pass us by, and that might be the end of the country. And that is why I think it is a greater achievement with all the moments of joy and sorrow, because in the past 30 years we formed institutions from almost nothing, we built a state and are stronger,” the minister said. Sekerinska also said that NATO membership is strengthening that sovereignty and increasing the ambition in terms of what kind of country the citizens want to create.
