The Prespa Agreement is an important and beneficial agreement for both Greece and the region and it will be endorsed by the majority of MPs in Greece, Shipping Minister Fotis Kouvelis has said. “I would say my assessment and my conviction as well is that the Prespa Agreement, a very important and beneficial deal both for Greece and the wider region, will pass. I can predict that a majority will be secured, including lawmakers that are not members of SYRIZA, will vote in favor of the Prespa Agreement provided that FYROM completes the processes as foreseen in the agreement itself,” Kouvelis told a Greek state radio. Kouvelis is a former president of the Democratic Left, which is now in a coalition with PASOK in the Movement for Change.
