MP and former PM Nikola Gruevski has been unjustifiably absent from work for six months. That means that MPs have the legal opportunity to vote through revocation of his MP mandate. Vice PS Frosina Remenski says a serious test and responsibility lies ahead for parliamentarians. According to her, both the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court are faced with a serious test, too: the former in terms of giving an answer about the investigation to the escape and the latter in terms of resisting annulment of the verdict about the prison sentence. Since 13 November, Gruevski has been in Budapest. The escape followed the two-year prison sentence given to him over the Tank case, which concerns the procurement of the luxurious Mercedes.
