The Syndicate for Education, Science and Culture (SONK) appeal the children do not attend school because the teachers and professors will neither receive students, or hold classes. When asked what would happen to the children that would attend school, Jakim Nedelkov, SONK President stated that the teaching staff has no obligation toward them because the strike has been timely declared. On the other hand, Education Minister, Arber Ademi stated that he does not see any reason for the strike, since the salaries of education employees has already been increased. SONK announced new negotiations in September with the Education Ministry provided agreement is not reached for 25% salary increase. They expect for the strike to last until agreement has been reached.
