Caretaker PM Oliver Spasovski, in an interview with MIA, says that the current caretaker Cabinet is significantly different than the one in 2016, which, as he explains, aimed to free, to some extent, the atmosphere in the country so that the citizens were able to make a free decision in the elections. Now, he points out, when the country is democratic, with free democratic institutions, the caretaker government is working on all strategic priorities of the country and on organising fair and democratic elections. When it comes to the accusations made by his successor at the Interior Ministry, Nakje Culev, that criminogenic structures got involved in the institutions during Spasovski’s term as the Minister, the caretaker PM claims that though the Ministry was in the past abused by the ruling structure led by VMRO-DPMNE from 2006 to 2017, that is now not the case.
