The Deputy PM and Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski said on Monday that MoI is taking all necessary measures to keep the celebration of Ilinden at Meckin Kamen, Krusevo on Friday safe. “It is important for all of us to observe the upcoming holidays in a peaceful atmosphere, respecting our history and traditions, but also facing our future. I call upon all citizens to join the celebration on 2 August, and celebrate this great holiday with peace and dignity,” Spasovski said. Last year during the celebration of Ilinden in Krusevo, the governmental delegation was jeered by a group of people, with some of them throwing plastic bottles at them, as a form of protest against the signing of the Prespa Agreement with Greece and the Good-neighbourliness Agreement with Bulgaria.
