SDSM leader Zoran Zaev spoke on the phone on Sunday with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. From SDSM they report that Stoltenberg congratulated Zaev on winning the 2020 parliamentary election in Macedonia. “North Macedonia has re-elected the government that with its brave and resolute decisions made the country the 30th NATO member-state. The re-election is very important, since it follows rather important decisions and the reform procedures the country made, making it a confirmation of the democratic capacity of the citizens of North Macedonia,” Stoltenberg told Zaev. “We remain dedicated to the integrative processes that lead us to the EU. The new government, headed by SDSM, will work even harder and even more efficiently on the realisation of the strategic goals of North Macedonia, as well as the reforms in all fields that would improve the life standards of the citizens,” Zaev told Stoltenberg.
