Prime Minister Zoran Zaev held Thursday a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who expressed support and congratulated on the success achieved in implementing the Prespa Agreement. Stoltenberg welcomed the courageous, grand and statesmanlike decision of the MPs, telling PM Zaev that NATO was pleased Macedonia was moving ahead, the government said in a press release. The NATO chief also congratulated Zaev on the successful accession talks held on Oct. 18-19 in Brussels saying NATO remained focused on completing the country’s integration into the Alliance. Thanking for the congratulations, PM Zaev concurred that the MPs had overcome partisan differences for the benefit of the country, which resulted in reaching an important decision.
