Three Kosovo Citizens Found Dead after their Vehicle Crashed in Lepenec River

Special team of scuba divers of the Interior Ministry managed to locate the vehicle of the
brand BMW with Kosovo licence plates that crashed in the Lepenec River on Saturday. The
accident occurred when another vehicle of the brand Volkswagen attempted to take over a
line of vehicles on the Skopje-Pristina motorway, when he crashed in the side of the BMW
with a family of four in it, causing it to lose control and crash in the Lepenec River nearby.
One of the children, Shkelzim Pazolli, managed to survive the crash and was rushed to the 8
September Hospital in Skopje, but the other family members, father Naim, mother Merita and
16-year-old son Ermal, were all found dead in the vehicle in the river. From the Interior
Ministry they inform that they arrested the driver of the Volkswagen that caused the car
crash. Kosovo PM Albin Kurti extended condolences to Shkelzim Pazolli over the tragedy,
and thanked the institutions of North Macedonia for their timely interventions over the
accident.
