Tribune on Occasion Day of NATO Held in Skopje

The Euro-Atlantic Council of North Macedonia organised a tribune on Monday, observing the day of NATO (4 April). The tribune featured as speakers Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Carmen Romero, Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska and other officials and politicians. “Since 27 March 2020, our country has become the 30th member-state of the strongest military alliance in the world built upon the highest civilisational and democratic values. Thanks to this integration, our country has become factor of stability in the region, in which our citizens have a secure future. Especially today we understand the benefits of being integrated in NATO, when Europe is witnessing one of the greatest crises, which is the Russian aggression and invasion over Ukraine. We are deeply shocked by the images we get from the town of Bucha in Ukraine. Violence over civilians must stop now, and the perpetrators of the assaults over civilians must face justice,” Kovacevski added.
