TV21 came out with unofficial results from the 2021 Population Census in North Macedonia, citing sources from within the State Statistical Office (SSO). According to the unofficial results TV21 published, in North Macedonia the population at the moment is 1.8 million, or 2.1 million if the citizens living in the diaspora are counted, while the total number of citizens which hold a unique master citizen number is 2.5 million. Also, out of the 1.8 million people that live in the country, between 63% and 65% are of Macedonian ethnicity, 29.5% are of Albanian ethnicity, and the rest are of other ethnicities.
