House Democracy Partnership (HDP) commission of the U.S. House of Representatives has encouraged Prime Minister Zoran Zaev to implement the constitutional revision resulting from the Prespa Agreement, despite the challenges following the referendum, including the open and covert Russian efforts to undermine the agreement. The commission has sent a letter addressed to PM Zaev, signed by Congressman Peter Roskam (RIL) and Congressman David Price (D-NC), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Democracy Partnership, on behalf of 20 bipartisan members. The HDP, which works directly with partner countries around the world to support the development of effective, independent, and responsive legislative institutions, congratulate the large majority of ‘Yes’ votes at the recent referendum, saying the U.S. House continues to firmly support the Macedonian citizens in their aspirations to join NATO and EU.
