Vilnius: Foreign Minister Osmani Meets Canadian Counterpart Joly

In the frames of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met with his Canadian counterpart, Melanie Joly. Welcoming the development of bilateral relations, Osmani especially highlighted the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the two countries, as significant potential and solid grounds to further mutual cooperation. They also talked about cooperation in the frames of NATO. In that regard, Osmani said that that cooperation, especially in the multinational battle groups, was a testament to the active contribution to the overall trans-Atlantic security, which was particularly important in the new geopolitical context. The meeting focused also on North Macedonia's OSCE Chairpersonship-in-Office, current situation in the Western Balkans, and numerous challenges following the Russian aggression against Ukraine. Regarding the EU path of Skopje, the support was reaffirmed.
