VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM still Divided over Constitutional Changes

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, who has insisted on early elections, said on Thursday that the Government, instead of solving problems, was becoming an obstacle to itself. As Mickoski reiterated, the constitutional changes are a closed topic.

He also rejected the government’s claims that MPs from his party will support the changes to the Constitution. Mickoski talked about his party’s stand that no VMRO-DPMNE MP supports constitutional changes “under a Bulgarian dictate” also at the meeting that day with Hungary’s Ambassador, Andras Klein. The same day, SDSM said Mickoski had a right to isolate himself, but not the country.
