The active blockade of VMRO-DPMNE and its coalition partners in Parliament has started. On Tuesday, they were holding banners in front of the rostrum. Also, they criticised the ruling coalition partners for being constantly late to the plenary session. “You accuse us of blocking, whereas you are the ones actually doing that. You are the blockade of the country. You are the ones halting Parliament’s work,” VMRO-DPMNE Parliamentary Group Coordinator Nikola Micevski said. Speaker Talat Xhaferi asked MPs to return to their seats, pointing to both the Rules of Procedure and the last Report of the European Parliament. According to SDSM, the image of the VMRO-DPMNE MPs holding banners in front of the rostrum is the “true image of the only opposition in the world blocking a parliament amidst a world economic and energy crisis”.
