VMRO-DPMNE Leader Mickoski’s Meets IRI’s McCarthy

On Thursday, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski met the International Republican Institute’s (IRI) Europe Regional Director, Paul McCarthy. According to VMRO-DPMNE’s press-release, they talked about the current political and economic state of affairs in the country, “the high degree of corruption in Macedonia”, and the integration path regarding Bulgaria. “Mickoski once again reaffirmed the stand that he would not accept constitutional changes under these circumstances and under a Bulgarian dictate. At the same time, mutual gratitude was expressed for the good cooperation between VMRO-DPMNE and IRI, and we agreed it would continue to be developed in the future, too, on the basis of equality, principles, and true values,” the party said. At the meeting, Mickoski was accompanied by the party’s International Secretary, Stefan Andonovski and Executive Committee member and Spokesperson Marija Miteva.
