VMRO-DPMNE Member Nikolovski Testifies in Titanic Case

The Titanic case, over which the evidence procedure is still underway, will continue on 29 September. Witness Nakjo Nikolovski from Kicevo said he had been a member of VMRO-DPMNE since the 1990s and always donated money to the party. However, he added that he had donated in the Municipal Committee of the party in his city, not in a bank. Asked by defendant Ilija DImovski, the former MP, whether the number of persons exceeded 500, Nikolovski said it was even higher and that the Committee had afterwards put the money in the bank on behalf of the party. Judge Osman Shabani is in charge of the case, which concerns alleged election irregularities. Among the defendants are also ex-Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska and former Transport and Communications Minister Mile Janakieski.
