On Tuesday, VMRO-DPMNE staged protests from 3 pm to 5 pm by blocking crossroads at three locations in Skopje and nine other cities. The opposition party suspects that the Government is negotiating on the Macedonian identity, language, and culture with Bulgaria. VMRO-DPMNE alleged PM Zoran Zaev and the Special Representative for Sofia, Vlado Buckovski, would sell national and state interests. Afterwards, Zaev denied the accusations. According to him, the so-called Roadmap concerns talks at a sectoral level on the railway sector, roads, science and education, healthcare, culture, roads, Corridor VIII and connection between the two countries, labour and social policy, youth and sport, as well as cooperation between the national broadcasters. “That’s the Roadmap on which there are talks. I believe that if adopted, it will definitely be confirmed at an intergovernmental conference headed by the two Foreign Ministers,” he noted, adding that everything else was being talked under the leadership of the Portuguese EU Presidency.
