In the frames of the visit to Brussels, on Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE Executive Committee member Vlatko Gjorcev and International Secretary Timco Mucunski held a meeting with EPP President Donald Tusk. They talked about the situation in Macedonia. The VMRO-DPMNE members told Tusk that SDSM was exerting serious pressure for the 12 April elections to be delayed. They added that the reached political deal on elections had to be respected. “The meeting saw a discussion on the enormous justice and corruption problems,” VMRO-DPMNE said in the press-release. The interlocutors’ assessment is that there is a need for deep structural reforms in those two areas. Tusk highlighted his unambiguous support for VMRO-DPMNE regarding the elections.
