Foreign Nikola Dimitrov took part in the panel entitled “Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans”, held in the frames of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Minister took part in the panel dedicated to “Strategic Dialogue on the Western Balkans”, as one of the main initiatives on the agenda of this year’s edition of the Forum. Among the participants were Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, Kosovan President Hashim Thaci, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, and a big number of chief executive officers of well-known companies. On the sidelines of the Forum, the Foreign Minister held a meeting with Borissov and Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic. The meeting with the Bulgarian PM focused on the Skopje-Sofia friendship deal and the work of the Commission in charge of historical issues. However, Macedonia’s road to full-fledged membership in the European Union, too, was discussed. At the meeting with Plenkovic, Dimitrov thanked both the Croatian Prime Minister and his country, in the capacity of holder of the Presidency of the Union, for the support for Macedonia’s integration process.
