Xhaferi to Sign Election Decision on Tuesday

The calculations dictate that the pre-election address by the parties will begin Monday, 22 June and will last for 20 days until 12 July midnight, when the campaign will be finalized. The following two days, 13 and 14 July will provide the opportunity for the sick and exhausted to vote, together with those persons who have tested positive for COVID-19. The day of the elections will have increased voting period until 21:00 instead of 19:00 as it has been done previously, at the recommendation of the Infectious Diseases Committee. The whole procedure requires PS Talat Xhaferi’s approval, whose Cabinet informed that the signing will be performed on Tuesday, 16 June. After the decision has been signed, it will be sent to SEC where the election date will be confirmed and the remaining election-related activities will continue.
