Zaev and Ahmeti hold Meeting

On Tuesday, PM Zoran Zaev, who is the leader of SDSM, and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti started the talks to detect certain weaknesses among part of officials from the executive power. At the meeting, an agreement was reached according to which consultations will follow within the frameworks of the two parties, after which the talks will continue. “The goal of these initiatives is providing staff decisions to strengthen the institutions’ capacities, in direction of delivering better results at an economic level and meeting the citizens’ expectations,” the Government said in a press-release. Previously, Zaev had said it was about staff changes concerning officials that hadn’t met expectations. The DUI leader, according to his statement made on Monday, adheres to the demand for a vetting process as a method to stop attacks against officials and to prevent fake news from being spread.
