The President of SDSM, Zoran Zaev confirmed that he resigning from the leadership position in SDSM and from the position of Prime Minister. At the same time, according to party sources, he mentioned that intra-party elections should be held for his successor and mentioned the deputy minister and member of the party Executive Board, Dimitar Kovacevski as one of the possible successors to the leadership position in SDSM. Spokeswoman Bogdanka Kuzeska emphasized that it was concluded at the SDSM Central Committee that there is a parliamentary majority, which has 61 MPs. Kuzeska informs that on Sunday, 12 December, intra-party elections will be held, where the successor of the president of SDSM, Zoran Zaev, will be elected. The procedure for electing a new leader of SDSM will start immediately, when the candidates will be able to submit their candidacies, according to the criteria. Zaev informed the Central Committee that the parliamentary majority is stable and that it will grow in the coming period.
