Zaev: EU Integration Path Mustn’t Be Held Hostage by Bilateral Issues

According to PM Zoran Zaev, the EU integration path mustn’t be held hostage by bilateral issues. As he said on Friday, the negotiations with the EU mustn’t turn into talks with Bulgaria. “Our progress with regards to the EU integrations should primarily depend on the domestic reforms related to the chapters, the EU acquis, and meeting European standards,” Zaev added. EU leaders, he said, must seriously take into account that the endless disappointments inevitably open the door to and encourage Euro-sceptics.
