SDSM leader and PM-designate Zoran Zaev stated in an interview for TV21 that the government proposal will be submitted to the Parliament after the Parliament appoints its new vice-presidents. “First the Parliament needs to determine the number of vice-presidents, and to also verify the mandates of the new MPs that come in the position of those that are nominated as ministers in the new government. Once all this is complete, we will immediately submit to the Parliament the programme of the new government and the nominations for PM and ministers, and I believe we can do this by the end of this week,” Zaev said. In meantime, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi scheduled a new session of the Parliament for Tuesday at noon, at which the Parliament is expected to elect its new vice-presidents. According to the Constitution of Macedonia and the Parliamentary Rule of Procedure, the new Government is to be elected by 2 September.
