Zaev Will Resign Next Week

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced that he will resign as Prime Minister next week. He expects that after the formalization of the resignation in the Parliament, his successor as the new Prime Minister will be Dimitar Kovacevski, and the first success of the Government will be the holding of the first intergovernmental conference with the EU. “These days we are finishing the consultations with the coalition partners. What I can say is that important processes are being completed, both programmatically and governmentally and personnel-wise, so I will make the decision somewhere at the beginning of next week and as soon as decide, I will immediately announce when it will be formalized in front of Parliament,” Zaev told TV24, at the headquarters of SDSM, where he formally handed over the leadership function to the new president of the party Dimitar Kovacevski.
