11 Detained in Mazut Case, Charges Filed against 13 People and One Legal Entity

Documentation, five mobile phones, around 1,500 pieces of ammo of different calibre, two guns, and three passenger motor vehicles have been seized in the operation related to suspicious procurement of derivatives.

11 persons, including the owners of RKM’s and Pucko Petrol, Ratko Kapusevski and Asmir Jahoski, respectively, have been detained.

Ex-ESM head Vasko Kovacevski, who’s at large and a suspect in the Additive case, is covered in this process as well, as is another former ESM director, Ardijan Muca, who’s in detention over the Additive process. The charges against the 13 people and one, Skopje-based, legal entity concern money laundering and abuse of official position.

The Prosecutor’s Office has sought a detention measure agaisnt Kapusevski, Jahoski, and four others, including Kovacevski. For the others, measures of precaution have been sought. According to the charges, damage to the budget of around 167.5 million euros was caused in the case.
