US Ambassador Angela Aggeler said that they are carefully following the developments around the governmental initiative for the dismissal of Chief Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski. Aggeler refused to comment on the governmental decision of Kocevski’s dismissal.
“We continue to follow the situations in the judiciary in your country. We also follow the procedures initiated in relation to the Judicial Council. For years now we’ve been talking about many aspects of the judiciary, there are legal procedures and according to my information, this process is developing and we continue to follow it, and we want to see that the law is respected”, Ambassador Aggeler said.
The Justice Ministry is finalising the proposal for the dismissal of Kocevski, and it is expected to be discussed at the governmental session next Tuesday.
