Ahmeti Sends Letters to Blinken, Scholz, von der Leyen, and Others

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti has sent letters to US Secretary of State Blinken, French President Macron, German Chancellor Scholz, European Commission President von der Leyen, as well as to Albanian PM Rama, Albanian President Begaj, Kosovan PM Kurti, and Kosovan President Osmani Sadriu.

In them, he says he is deeply concerned over the latest political and constitutional developments in North Macedonia that, as he points out, are endangering the achievements of the 2001 Ohrid Framework Agreement and principles of equality and stability in “our multiethnic country”.

The DUI leader claims that three decisions, that is, plans to abolish the Languages Law’s key provisions, abolition of the Balancer tool, and formation of a political majority “without equitable representation of ethnic communities”, are posing serious threats to the stability and peace of the country and region, as a whole.
