Ahmeti: There were Secret Meetings with Zaev and Gruevski over CC Changes

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti is without an answer about why the Criminal Code (CC) changes have been made now and without a wide debate.

However, in an interview with TV21, he reveals that he had secret meetings several years ago over the changes with the former leaders of SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE, Zoran Zaev and Nikola Gruevski, respectively.

According to him, the meetings would be held at the Club of MPs. As Ahmeti adds, there was a debate in the past three years, but current opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski left it.

As the DUI leader explains, initially, Zaev didn’t agree, but when a deal was reached with SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE then withdrew.

“Hristijan Mickoski withdrew from the CC change, which was a big surprise,” Ahmeti points out.
