All For Fair Trials Starting Project to Check Council’s Disciplinary Proceedings

The All For Fair Trials Coalition is starting a project, funded by the UK Embassy, to check the way in which the Judicial Council has carried out disciplinary proceedings.

The goal is to determine whether changes should be made to the law or to practice.

The project, which will last until March 2025, will cover 20 completed disciplinary proceedings against judges working on criminal and civil matters. The results should also advance the Council’s oversight and control role on the work of Judges.
