On Tuesday, North Macedonia was among the countries, including also the US, Canada, and the majority of EU members, whose ambassadors didn’t attend the inauguration of Vladimir Putin as Russia’s President, which formally marked the start of his fifth term.
“Regarding your questions, we would like to inform you that as instructed by the Foreign Minister, North Macedonia’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Nenad Kolev, will not attend the inauguration of the Russian President,” the Bujar Osmani-headed Ministry had previously told the 360 Stepeni (360 Degrees) portal.
