US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, the Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador David Geer, and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani were among the participants in Monday’s conference, organised by the CIVIL – Centre for Freedom NGO, marking the second anniversary of the start of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.
The West, she pointed out, hasn’t turned its back. “We’ve united and joined forces,” the US Ambassador stressed, adding that NATO had grown, not dissolved.
Ambassador Geer said the EU was and would continue to be one of the greatest friends of the Ukrainian people. In that regard, he pointed to the “historic” decision made in December to open accession talks, as well as the huge financial, technical, military, and humanitarian assistance amounting to 90 billion euros.
