Another 30-Day Detention Measure for Suspects for Double Murder

The Criminal Court in Skopje decided to extend the detention measures for all suspects in the double murder case of Vanja Gjorcevska (14) and Pance Zezovski (74) for another 30 days.

The Criminal Court acted upon a request by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (BPPO), which is still investigating the case. Seven suspects have been detained over the double murder, while the prime suspect, businessman Ljupco Palevski, is currently in detention in Turkiye after he tried to flee the country there.

The Justice Ministry requested his extradition to North Macedonia and is still waiting for response by official Ankara. In meantime, Serbian politician Srdjan Nogo published on his profiles on social networks two photographs of the vehicle that was used for the kidnapping of Gjorcevska.

From the Basic Public prosecutor’s Office (BPPO) they claimed that the photos published by Nogo cannot compromise the investigation over the double murder.
