Asani, Korac to Assume Positions of M-NAV Directors Next Week

The Supervisory Board of the Macedonian Air Navigation (M-NAV) had accepted the appointment of Hekuran Asani and Milan Korac as new directors of M-NAV, Telma TV reported.

After the entire documentation is prepared, Asani and Korac are expected to officially assume their new positions next week. Their appointment comes upon a recommendation by the Government of North Macedonia, after their predecessors Fahrudin Hamidi and Ljube Stamenkovski were dismissed in the aftermath of the incidents that took place at the flight control tower of M-NAV.

In meantime, the Criminal Court reached a decision that accepts an appeal filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) in relation to the house arrest determined against M-NAV incidents suspect Lj. K., and determined against him a 30-day custody.

The Criminal Court also informed that concluding with 18 January 2024, all eight suspects over the M-NAV incidents are no longer at large and there are active measures against them.
