Baby Case: Parents Reconcile, Bruises Caused during Procedure to Draw Blood

Over the case of the four-month-old baby with bruises on its arm, Children’s Diseases Clinic Rexhep Memedi has said the bruises had been caused during a procedure to draw blood.

On Monday, the parents and nurse agreed that the situation had been more of a consequence of misunderstanding.

“After the reconciliation, the commission formed over the matter ceased its work,” Memedi stated on Tuesday.

As he explained, on 11 July, one nurse held the baby’s arm, while the other drew blood.

“The bruises were a consequence of the mechanical pressure,” he stated.

Health Minister Taravari is waiting for the reports in writing.
