Blerim Ramadani Case: Toskovski Points to Article 163 Paragraph 5 of CPL

In response to the Criminal Court’s press-release over the Blerim Ramadani case and house arrest issue, Interior Minister Pance Toskovski pointed to Article 163 paragraph 5 of the Criminal Procedure Law (CPL), according to which it is the court that shall perform the supervision of house, though it may also transfer supervision duty to the police, determining also the manner of supervision.

As he also pointed out, in the Ramadani case, in the house arrest decision, the Court determined that though supervision duty was granted to the “Interior Ministry, Skopje Internal Affairs Sector, Cair Police Station of General Competence”, the manner wasn’t determined, even though it is a legal obligation stemming from the aforementioned paragraph.
