Bojmacaliev: 85,000 Passport Templates to Have Arrived by Friday Morning

Another 85,000 passport templates will have arrived by Friday morning, additional Interior Minister Mitko Bojmacaliev said on Thursday. As he added, the system for issuing travel documents functions normally.

According to him, old passports cannot be used to travel anywhere because citizens will not be allowed to leave the country.

“Those containing the old name, due to the law that is in force, are no longer valid. When it comes to the new passports, they can be used to travel everywhere,” the additional Deputy Minister stated.

According to Bojmacaliev, nobody now has the right to compensate citizens for the money given by them for IDs and driving licences because the country is in an election period.
