Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Responds to Mickoski’s Comments

On Wednesday, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said the 2022 consensus approved by all EU members and North Macedonia remained a valid roadmap for Skopje’s integration process progress.

The institution stated that it was puzzled as to why PM Hristijan Mickoski considered obligations assumed by his country to represent interference in internal matters. The Ministry believes the PM’s “consecutive statements” on whether inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution would be “the only bilateral issue on the EU path” are yet another attempt to go around assumed obligations and divert the public’s attention from the lack of reforms.

That way, regardless of whether he wants to do so or not, Mickoski has promoted manipulative and fake theses that could be considered true interference in the internal matters of Bulgaria, the institution was quoted as saying by BGNES.
