Bulgarian President Responds to Mickoski’s Comments on Renegotiation Issue

After his meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens on Tuesday, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev didn’t reveal whether he and the Greek PM had built a joint position on North Macedonia.

Regarding PM Hristijan Mickoski’s comments on the renegotiation issue, the Bulgarian President said the Skopje-Sofia Treaty had to be implemented, not revised.

In his view, North Macedonia’s leadership obviously doesn’t have enough knowledge when it comes to international and constitutional law.

As the Bulgarian President added, the processes taking place in North Macedonia are creating, in an accelerated manner, a distance between the country and EU integration.
