The great police action which took place last Thursday, with searches in several objects in Skopje, Strumica and Gostivar, resulted with the interrogation of three persons, among them Strumica-based businessman Risto Krmzov, for whom the Criminal Court determined precaution measures, i.e. for him to be stripped from his passport.
Police officers, in cooperation with teams from Basic Prosecutor’s Office (BPO), the Public Revenue Office, the Customs Administration and the Finance Ministry, found diamonds in the premises owned by Krmzov, as well as great amount of cash with one of his storage house employees.
Head of the BPO Ljupco Kocevski stated that the action was successful, and that they will now analyse the evidence acquired during the searches, but did not reveal further details due to the fact that the case is still in a pre-investigation.
The natural and legal entities in this case are suspected of tax evasion, embezzlement, money laundering and other criminal activities.
