In the finish of the campaign for the parliamentary elections, before the start of the election silence period, candidates continued their activities, meetings, and pre-election messages.
SDSM held its last rally in Centar, where party leader Dimitar Kovacevski said the future of the country would be determined on 8 May.
“On Wednesday, all of us will be at a crossroads where we will need to decide whether they will need to decide whether to choose a better future, a higher standard, and European values for Macedonia or isolation, a regime’s return, and saying goodbye to the progressive, European perspective of the country,” he stated.
VMRO-DPMNE held its last rally in Prilep, while previously, on the Plusinfo podcast, party leader Hristijan Mickoski had said it wouldn’t be surprising if the candidate endorsed by the coalition led by his party, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, won over 500,000 and even 600,000 votes in the second round of the presidential election, but also if his party secured 61 MP seats.
The same day, Mickoski met one of VLEN’s leaders, Arban Taravari. TV21 posted a photo of them shaking hands. As VLEN explained, a co-governance agenda has been set, mainly focused on fighting crime and corruption.
